Neko Case - Nothing To Remember (The Hunger Games OST)
NEW NEKO SONG
GODDAMN WHY IS RIGHT NOW SO GOOD

Not everyone can have a piano in her kitchen like Neko Case, but it’s good to know that she has an Ikea duvet like everyone else.

Here, the New Pornographers invite a fan up on stage to sing the main vocals for “Myriad Harbour.” Neko Case adorably guides him and offers encouragement when he misses the occasional cue.
I wish that I could do this. I’d probably die from excitement! This is forever my jam. Challengers is one of those albums endlessly nostalgic albums for me.

45 DAYS
NEW NEKO SONG WHAAATTTT
(Source: lifeofanobsessionista)
Neko Case: Real American Hero.
Neko Case: Yeah, like postfeminist theory in art school. Oh, it’s oppressive! [Laughs] I don’t wanna paint with my menstrual blood! I just wanna learn how to use this printing press, man! Come on!
Sherman Alexie: [Laughs] That just killed me! Oh, man…
Neko Case: That really happened, actually. Several times.
Sherman Alexie: Really? God.
More of the Believer conversation between Neko Case and Sherman Alexie here.
Neko Case is a force of nature.
“At Last” has always been a favorite. And it’s been permanently stuck in my head since 2009. Now that’s a sign of a good song.
And if death should smell my breathing
As it pass beneath my window
Let it lead me trembling, trembling
I own every bell that tolls me
Neko, please make another album.
Neko, please tour again.

Neko Case - “In California” (Lisa Marr cover, live on Austin City Limits, 2003)
It’s just raining on my face.
This is almost too much to handle, honestly. Neko’s musings about attending a Vancouver art-school in the early ’90s (so many awful-sounding, cliche tampon art projects, including a pyramid filled with collected menstrual blood that dripped onto a mattress), the dynamics of interpersonal relationships (Neko to her guitarist Paul Rigby: “how come they never have a comedy where a guy and a lady are friends and they’re fuckin’ hilarious…and they just hang out and they don’t fuck each other?”), childhood crushes (Michael Palin), feminism (there should be more women representing: “On Civil War monuments and comedy shows!”)…I can keep going. She’s the best.
Who knows what you meant?
I only heard what I wantedI’m usually not even the biggest fan of volume but right now I’m all about this as loud as my ears can handle
Right now I’m listening to Middle Cyclone in its entirety for the first time in months and this album, this album. So many memories.
