Cat goes crazy when I start DC. No problem with other consoles. Try to bite and scratch it.
Dreamcat.
It just can’t handle the Dreamcast.
The soul still burns.

Jet Set Radio HD on XBLA/PSN is now totally official. As if it wasn’t anyway. But, this means new, sexy HD screens and a totally tubular competition to have your art included in the game as graffiti. Does this mean no more creator mode? Also, I’m looking to bring back 1990’s surfer/Ninja Turtles slang such as ‘totally tubular’ and ‘bodacious’. Who’s in?
I LOVE IT SO MUCH
SO MUCH
Sega confirms After Burner IV as launch title on Dreamcast 2.
Oh fuck yeah! December can’t come fast enough. 12/12/12, my body is ready.
NOT FUNNY. :(
Actually, it is because Sega kind of sucks now (outside of things like that Daytona USA HD and Sonic CD ports; I also played some Sonic Generations with Steve and Ally this weekend, that was fun too). The Dreamcast was Sega’s true last gasp.

Jet Grind Radio might be my favorite game of all time.
Katie reminded me that this hilarious Mega64 reenactment of Shenmue exists.
“Do you know where I can find some sailors around here?”
“Do you know someone who can read the language of Chinese? Do you know who might be able to read the Chinese language?”
“Would you like to try a game of Lucky Hit?”

Dear Sega,
I just realized something. How awesome would it be to have a Jet Set Radio game for Kinect? I don’t have much interest in “being the controller” but if Sega made a game where I could spray some walls with a one-to-one recreation of my hand motions, I might just choke up that $150. Do it, Sega. Do it.
Love,
Marc
CAN I SIGN THIS PETITION PLEASE
I’ve wanted one for the Wii forever.
Don’t feel too bad, though. It’s modern Sega, after all; they’d only fuck it up something awful. All that time wishing for a NiGHTS sequel and all we got was that Wii abomination a few years ago.
In good news, it’s been rumored that Jet Grind Radio is coming to XBLA and PSN in the near future.

Exactly! It’s almost draining to play. I move so cautiously when I play it, too. Heather Anne Campbell, when she used to write for Play, described it as a very dark, bleak game of D&D with a hardliner Dungeon Master. It’s terrifying. The atmosphere is so well-realized as well. I also need to mention the combat, especially the melee, which just feels really fluid.
I have a feeling that years from now—much like I currently do with the Dreamcast—I’ll be talking about videogames with someone, mention it excitedly, saying “Demon’s Souls…that was a good game, did you ever play that?” And much like with Jet Grind Radio or God Hand, they will most likely say no. The best games are so often ignored, you know?
At least the follow-up to Demon’s Souls, Project Dark, will be multi-platform. That should widen its appeal.
