I’m getting a Kindle for Christmas!

For the last week or two I’ve been thinking a lot about books; how I want to read more (especially before sleeping, instead of pointlessly staying awake on my laptop), how I have no room for them in my house (literally)…and I came up with the idea of maybe getting a Kindle. Since the screen simulates a written page, it wouldn’t keep me awake, and it would solve my space problems. Plus: FREE BOOKS! Classics (there’s really an absurd number of out-of-copyright plays, novels, poetry, and non-fiction available on there), and as a result of my Amazon Prime membership, I would also get time-limited (one month, I think) free access to certain contemporary books.

I asked my mom tonight at dinner about it and she was like, “I was actually going to ask you if you wanted one!” How serendipitous. I’m so excited.
